Tribal in Black, White, and Blue

image

Happy Tuesday!

I finally have some down time to blog from.  I miss reading my fellow bloggers’  blogs and I miss blogging.   I wanted to share my look from Sunday.    I wanted to wear something fabulously,  chic to celebrate my last Sunday in my 20s because next Sunday I will be  30.  I truly wish that I could add some dramatic sound effects at this point.  I’m excited about the big 3-0!  I got this black and white sweater set from Rainbow last month.  I am fan of tribal prints. And, I like how black and white compliment each other…so classic.

I added a blue beaded necklace (Walmart) , my black and white square earrings (plus size consignment boutique),  and my black and white flats (rue21).  I also barrowed my sister’s blue handbag.  My hair was styled in bantu twistout….I fluffed my hair out.  By the way,  I’m not frowning…the sun was in my eyes:-)

I’m About That Bob Life…Temporarily

Hey lovelies!

So for those of you who follow my blog, you know that I switch up my hairstyles quite often.  So, I have been wearing a crochet protective style to protect my hair and it’s super convenient.   I love the big hair but it’s too hot in Tennessee and I’m itching to try something new.   So,  I cut my protective style into a bob.  This has allowed me to have a new hairstyle without having to cut my real hair and continue to protect it for a while longer.

Closet Chic Throwback: Simple and Sexy

wpid-1374287003042.jpg

Hey everyone!  I wanted to share one of my favorite go to summer looks.  This look was about two summers ago but still wear it.  So, it’s a throwback.  I have had these palazzo pants for several years now and I love how they flow and sway.  They are great for summer weather because the are cool, light, and comfortable.  I usually pair these pants with a cute tank or a cute top.  I love wearing this salmon colored off the shoulder top because it’s goes well with the pants.  I like wearing off the shoulder top because they are sexy without being too revealing.  I usually wear this belt with these pants.

The pants and belt are from Cato Fashions.  The pants were $15 and the belt was $2.99.

I like wearing my hair in braids or twist because I wear high buns quite often because it’s sleek and great for summer to stay cool.

Thanks for reading!  Let me know what you think of the throwback!

Talk to you soon,

Brandi

Natural Hair: Curly Twistout

Hello Lovelies!

I wanted to share a go-to hairstyle that I use quite frequently on my hair.  It’s the curly twistout.  I simply twist my hair into two strand twist then roll my hair with these wave rod rollers (pictured below).

I keep the rods in over night.  I really like the body and curls that my hair have if my hair is completely dry.

I have a few pics of my hair at different times.

Hello lovelies!  Jessica and I went to Atlanta this past weekend to attend the annual World Natural Hair Show.  It was a really exciting experience to see so many women rocking their natural hair in afros, twist outs, wash-n-gos, braids, and other styles. There were other vloggers and bloggers there.

I had the opportunity to meet one of my favorite YouTube vloggers Toni Daley (tonidaley.com.)  I was super excited to meet her and support your business.

Toni and I

Here’s what I got from Toni:

I also got some mugs from an artist called Twisted Cheri.  She makes posters and drawings of African-American women.  www.twistedcheri.com

I also got a chance to support other business and I got a chance to stock up on some hair and skin care products.
